I watched the Indian Jone’s latest thrilling adventure and started to wonder about saree clad adventurers or even saree clad gun trotting assassins.
And as they say, on the Internet, if you can imagine it, somebody already has a website about it.

I know I have said that Urmila would look good in anything - but folks, even anything has an upper bound…. This is a pretty stale looking tan brown sari with flat looking embroidery. To make matters worse the blouse is in a shade of mustard, and at odds with the color of the sari. And the jewelry - lets just say that it is supposed to be choker - not “choke her”. I don’t know how Urmila is even managing to breathe under that tumble of pearls. And we won’t even get into the red nail polish and the virtue of wearing neutral shades if you are not going to match your nails with your outfit. So is there anything nice to be said? Well, Urmila’s pretty face almost makes up for the rest of the mess.
This is a very interesting sari blouse design that Rani is wearing. The sari has a more traditional Rajasthani print on georgette, with subtle silver embellishments. The blouse looks like a combination of traditional colors, 60’s rock, and contemporary design. The traditional print border on the sleeves is offset with a retro polka dot print that shows off the back in a dramatic plunging neckline, ending in a show off bow in the back. And Rani’s beautiful face in silhouette with a simple pair of oversized hoop earrings completes the picture!
New techniques of weaving and printing on silk now allows for more intricate and complex patterns then ever before.
Hope the designers use this new found freedom wisely.
This one is a great saree, great colors and intricate design that stays true to the ethnic origin of the saree style. Also notice the matching design on the blouse piece.

Politicians and press persons in Britain and Australia are getting their knickers in a twist over allegations Bollywood star Tania Zaetta may have been extra friendly with one or more soldiers during a goodwill tour of Afghanistan.
True, Zaetta, a former Baywatch “babe,” was in Afghanistan merely to perform for troops, but why is it anybody’s business if she was entertaining after hours? Zaetta not only hasn’t been accused of anything essentially wrong, she’s also, in all probability, innocent.
Other members of her entourage deny “allegations” that the actress “acted improperly.”
Meanwhile, Australia’s Parliament is looking into the matter…
