I have my reservations about the orange and gold and black and maroon saree. Not sure where does the orange fit in and where does that maroon come from. Also the gold blouse is mismatched with the gold zardosi on the saree. White and silver saree on the other hand, looks perfect.

The most notable thing here is the matching of earrings with the embellishment of the hanging beads on the blouse.
Normally something like that would look tacky, but because of the distinctive Brazilian bikini cut of the blouse, it works.
I have been neglecting Saree History and heritage it brings. Here is a start of a new series where I will periodical show paintings, mostly from 1900’s but some earlier ones, that are saree related.
And this is a great start: not just a saree, but a saree shop painting. Absolutely amazing, I’d buy that saree in a heart beat.
Also, notice the shoes on the floor - pretty nice.
This is modern classic saree.
I love saying that; saree designs offer a great opportunity to combine the old and new, traditional and contemporary, forgotten and fresh in to a new piece of six yards of life form.
