Saree Dreams

The blouse design really caught my eye; I appreciate the asymmetry of the border on the blouse. I think it looks really elegant and sophisticated. But then I saw that the sleeves of this blouse are also asymmetric, meaning that only one side has 3/4th sleeve and other part is sleeveless. I am not sure if that would really look good or not.

Asymmetry looks great when it just a tad asymmetric; it invites the mind to see the symmetry and then appreciate the design that the asymmetry creates. But when the asymmetry is large, it is not just distracting, but actually annoying.

I don’t think I have seen anybody ride the wave runner wearing a saree, but I don’t see any reason why it can’t be done.

This is great picture! It shows the versatility of saree as a dance costume.

You can dance with wild abandonment, unconstrained by what you are wearing.

Designer NickyNina showed off a jade green chiffon sari, with a polka dot print and a border in soft hues of of peach and mauve. The print blouse picks up the pattern from the border, and is trimmed out in an elaborate floral jari border. The blouse is interesting as it is longer in the back but shorter in front.

The rich collection of saris in vibrant shades of orange, gold and magenta is a visual feast for the senses!
