Saree Dreams

This is a simple and sexy saree blouse to go with intricate border on a black saree.

I am a bit puzzled about the gold earrings, gold bangles and silver embroidery but I am not sure that it is not a lighting artifact.

Seems like she is carrying a little cell phone with her; we do need to provide a good way for a woman to carry some minimal stuff when she is wearing a saree.

Of course, you can always tie the cell phone to the pallu, and I don’t want to go towards the suggestion that the they can keep in the blouse.

But this issue of providing a way for a woman to carry her things is an old age issue; it was there in 1850’s, it was there in 1900’s, it was there in 1950’s and it is still troubling us today.

Saris and navels are hot topics of conversation on many an Indian bulletin board. To show or not to show — of course that is the big question for women. And what do men think? Note Shilpa Shetty’s navel in the low rise sari is the center of show!

A well toned midsection, with a nice navel, particularly pierced, with some delicate jewelry, is of course, a very sensuous sight. With saris, the best way to show off a navel is to wear a see-through chiffon sari. It is infinitely more sexy to have a diaphanous covering, than to just stick out the midsection.

This is a picture of utter simplicity. Malayalam actress Sada is wearing a simple pink sari with white booties, and a matching blouse with white embroidery. The saree is offset with small pink stone earrings and a thin chain. Simple and perfect!

Asin has such a beautiful and serene face, she can put on any saree and make it look sophisticated and elegant.

She is considered India’s demi Moore and I agree.

These days, you can’t tell the difference between the two!
