Born in Iran, Negar Khan (sometimes credited as Nigar Khan) grew up in Norway, studied in Australia and was pursuing a career in Bollywood until she was deported in February 2005 by Mumbai authorities for working illegally.

Negar took part in the film Double Cross, in which she plays a pole dancer. She took pole dance training lessons in London.

Negar Khan was married to Indian actor Sahil Khan but apparently Sahil called off their marriage citing Negar’s mother interference and the distance between them as the main factor.

OK, now it makes sense; her persian ethnic background gives her a different vital statstics that looks somewhat cartoonish in a saree.

A saree can adapt to her, if she lets it. But it seems to me that her goal is not to look the best, but show the most skin that she can and get away with it.

Malaika Arora is always well put together, whether she is modeling or appearing at Bollywood happenings. Here she wears a green georgette sari with heavy embroidery and gold trim along the border. We have talked about using secondary colors from the sari in the blouse or accessories. The spaghetti strap magenta blouse coordinates nicely with the hint of magenta beads in the sari. The green and magenta oversized earrings add to the ensemble.

Tamil actress Sneha looks glowing and happy in a pink chiffon with pearl and gold bead embroidery along the border. The jewelry is heavy but goes well with the ensemble and the flowers in the hair.

It was the ‘strength of a woman’ that shone bright at the the Hobby Ideas Women Achievers Show 2008 on Saturday night, as forty women achievers from different fields of life walked the ramp wearing Shaina NC’s saris, in a show choreographed by Hemant Trevedi in aid of the Cancer Patients Aids Association.
