Intricate embroidered blouse for a saree

Beautiful design, rich colors, fascinatingly detailed embroidery, layered look and attractive curves - thats a lot from a blouse!

I also like the design on the back, reminds me of gujarati needle work.

From Saree world.

Bhoomika Chawla in a translucent sari

Actress Bhoomika Chawla glows in an almost transparent flesh colored sari. This skin colored blouse with spaghetti straps is barely noticeable. The delicate embroidery on the sari border adds a subtle embellishment.

Sobia Nazir, Pakistani designer, saree

First of all, let me note that the concept of good color combination is not “universal”. Certain combination of colors that look very attractive in one culture look way too gaudi in another.

So I don’t want to dismiss this saree by saying that I don’t like the colors (I don’t) but I do appreciate the design touches and elegance. If one removed the orange belt below the blouse, then you will see the matching rose embroidery on the blouse edges and the pink/orange color of the saree with blue border providing an attractive color explosion.

I have seen one other saree by Sobia (also with a rose motif) I will post it when I get a chance.

Actress Anushka Shetty in a black chiffon sari and dramatic blouse

Actress Anushka Shetty looks sultry in a black chiffon sari. The blouse design is interesting — the off one shoulder design has an added spaghetti strap on the left side. The bottom of the blouse has an off-center reverse V line. The asymmetric sequin embroidery with a peep hole and tie up on the left side look interesting. The black chiffon sari is a simple prop for the dramatic blouse.
