This picture of Deepika has a certain elegant Grecian look to it. The crinkled white blouse with a closed V neck line is beautifully offset with the softly draped sari. The rhinestone chain around the waist gives the outfit its stature-esque appeal.

And now about the part that does not work. Deepika’s face, though pretty, looks quite boring. A suitable accessory would have been a pair of dangling rhinestone earrings (or diamonds for that matter!) and a jeweled hairpin or tiara would have complimented the Greek goddess look nicely!

We have talked about Bollywood with stars over accessorizing sometimes, but under accessorizing can be just as bad.

There are no sarees here; why am I showing you this picture?

Because Sabeer Bhatia is a friend of ours. We can’t attend his wedding, but we wanted to take the time to say hi to both of them.

We will have a bigger and better post wedding bash in LA!

Come to think of it, we have never seen Tanya in a saree yet; and we are looking forward to seeing her wedding pictures.

PS: if you don’t know, Tanya Sharma is the heiress of the Baidyanath Group, one of the largest manufacturers of ayurvedic medicine in India, and Sabeer Bhatia is known for creating hotmail which was acquired by Microsoft.

How many of you women folks have belly button pierced? How many of you women folks wished you had a belly button pierced? OK, rest of you 0.00001% of the women can leave now.

I think it is a very sexy jewelry and very erotic enhancement. It is not part of the classic/traditional sixteen-jewels that a woman is supposed to wear, but that was before you could do the piercing in an hygienic way!

This is a nice saree and the pierced belly button enhances its sexiness. The blouse is very conservative but the whole outfit goes well.

I know, the saree is a bit dated, but it still looks stunning and elegant.

It’s a gorgeous creation in white and Nina Manuel looks beautiful in this Tahiliani handiwork. The pallu is strikingly different in furry stripes that drape beautifully over body. The halter blouse is the style factor here with its tassels, laces and crisscross look. Worn without any jewelry, this creation brings out an attractive virginal splendour.

Interesting how it wraps around one arm and ties at the waist.

The open sleeve concept is very pleasing and the matching of small flowers makes it blend in with the rest of the outfit.

I really like this saree. Looks very articulate and discriminative and unique.

Small earrings would go well with it; they don’t have to be ruby red, just grey set would be fine.
