5. Satya Paul India fashion week ‘07: I love how the house of Satya Paul uses a panoply of colors!

4. Anjana Bhargav’s Revival Collection: Clean beautiful lines and interesting silloheute.

3. Gauri Bajoria’s HijiBiji collection. I particularly liked this piece.

2. Shoba De’s Christmas Collection: I didn’t like the last year’s collection, but this year, it has certain vibrancy to it.

And the drum roll, please:

1. Satya Paul’s Inspired collection: Each piece is so beautiful and it is a saree painting that has a story to tell.

And of course, the Satya Paul’s POP art collection was out of this world.

Ujjawala is one of my favorite models. I say this with the utmost admiration that she lets the clothes be the center piece and doesn’t over power the picture she is in, unless she is called upon to do so.

I love this black and white saree, tight fitting black bikini top and loose fitting white/silver blouse covering it all. Absolutely remarkable.

Gauri’s saree is exquisite. Nice interesting colors, highlight in the hair that compliments the color of the saree, no necklace to distract from the beauty of the saree.

Not sure if I like the pink and orange combination as much but it is an interesting choice for sure.

I can’t tell who the designer is for this saree - they style is such that it could be anybody. And unfortunately that is not necessarily the best thing.

Gauri Khan does look stunning in the saree though! She wears it really well.
