Daniela Hantuchova, Wish I could play tennis in saree
She was wearing a saree for the first time and yet she was as much at ease as she would be in the more familiar tennis-wear. Daniela Hantuchova looked gorgeous in the burnt-orange georgette traditional Indian wear. And she admitted loving every moment of it.
“Wish I could play tennis in saree,” the Slovak lady laughed, even as hearts around her skipped beats. “No, it was not difficult to wear a saree. And I had help.” In fact, it had taken her not more than 15 minutes to change from a black tennis attire to the brilliantly coloured saree. She beat Polish girl Marta Domachowska in just over an hour before obliging the organisers in a jiffy. And she didn’t need much cajoling too.
