Precocious little girl in a pink Saree (sari)

A precocious little girl in a saree.

I really think we should start having little girls wear sarees at special occasion; they should learn how to wear a saree at a very early age, probably at the same time as they learn to tie shoe laces.

Yes, my tastes are minimal too; I just want the very best.

If you are in to “minimal”, may be saree is just not your thing, consider a baggy dress instead.

But I think this ad is referring to the back of the blouse; I think she wants minimal coverage on the back and the lady gets what she wants.

I like the Moksaa logo with K denoting the flowing saree and I love the color combinations of the saree with stylish blouse.

Innovative Saree Design

Very innovative design by Sucheta Merh of Earthy Myths.

I think other then the frills on the sleeves, I agree with all other aspects: the bold print, the earthy base colors and the long sleeve blouse.

It has such a distinctive look and depth to it. I also like the idea of matching jackets and other accessories withe the saree.

Saree Kimono

By HasturCTS

Artist’s comments:

I wanted to do something that was ‘double-breasted’ without actually being so. Of course, I was also doing the Kimono thing.

This is the result.

Materials:
1 Pink/Salmon Art-Silk Sari - Rayon of a very nice quality (6 yards)
6 yards of poly/cotton blend for the lining

Time: About 8 hours

Details:
Zari borders make for a nice gold accent
Long Belt to make a contrasting obi bow
Sleeves attached with opening under the arm, so you don’t have to wear the sleeve and can move it out of the way when needed
Pleated on the shoulders for extra room
One size really does fit most

Not a bridal saree but a great one nonetheless!

I love this interesting color combination! Its cool and yet connotes warmth. Embroidery is exquisite and the placement of the embroidery brings out the best in the saree;

Not sure I understand the style she is going after, but in fashion photography, the designer can take some liberties with unfinished saree drapes.

It is listed as a bridal saree, but I still like to see some traditional components in an bridal ensemble and I don’t think this saree has them but as a party wear, it is an exceptional choice.
